Will checking my options hurt my credit?
No. Acorn Finance's prequalification uses a soft credit inquiry, which doesn't affect your credit score. A hard credit check only happens if you choose an offer and continue with that lender. Our own request form below doesn't check credit at all.
Who is the lender?
We partner with Acorn Finance, a marketplace that shows you offers from several lenders at once. You choose the lender, and you see the rate and terms before you accept anything. STP is not the lender.
Does financing change the price of the job?
No. Your written STP quote is the same price whether you pay by card, bank transfer, check or financing.
What size jobs can be financed?
Larger repairs and projects, like a new boiler, water heater, HVAC system, panel upgrade or remodel. Acorn Finance offers loans up to $100,000; the amount you can get depends on the lender and your approval.
How does the money work?
With Acorn Finance, the lender deposits the loan into your bank account, usually within a few business days, and you pay STP from it on the schedule in your quote. Then you make your monthly payments to the lender.
Can I still pay another way?
Yes. We take cards and bank transfer through a secure payment link, and checks. The video diagnostic fee is paid when you book and isn't financed.
Have these ready

Only the lender asks for your financial details, on their own secure site. STP never asks for them by email, text or on this website.
